ADA 2021 Update and How to Increase Accessibility
Never has there been a more important time to ensure your website content is available online. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires all websites to comply with the ADA guidelines, despite the law providing no details on how to do so.
In 2019, in the U.S. alone, there were over 11,000 ADA-related, Title III lawsuits filed, a 10% lift over the previous year. But ensuring the website content is accessible is only part of the solution. There are many other content-related best practices now available to ensure persons with disabilities are provided the content they need to make a purchasing decision.
We will briefly review the history of accessibility laws in the U.S. and explain how conforming to accessibility standards has moved from a technical-focused approach to a more holistic approach that better manages online experiences.
